& GUILDS DIPLOMA FOR PROFESSIONAL DOG STYLISTS - LEVEL 3 (7760-03)
For those who have worked in the dog grooming industry for some time and have already gained plenty of experience. Wishing to expand your skills further, learn how to style different breeds of dogs and address styling techniques for the more technical breeds, with a view to salon management or a management position within the business.
You complete 6 core units:
- Styling and trimming a short-legged terrier's coat
- Styling and trimming a spaniel's coat
- Assessing and planning dog grooming work
- Carrying out styling and finishing of dogs
- Hand stripping a dog
- Health checking a dog by a dog groomer
You choose 2 optional units from:
- Handling payments from clients
- Moving animals between locations
- Welcoming, receiving and caring for visitors to sites.
- Keeping stock on sale at required levels in a retail environment
- Promoting, monitoring and maintaining health, safety and security.
- Styling and trimming a long-legged Terrier or Schnauzer's coat
- Styling and trimming a Poodle's coat
